Planted in clusters, this gum does not take up the space and dry the ground out as much as other gums. The new growth has the waxey white coating which gives the gum its name. The bright pink flowers hang in clusters throughout late winter and spring. Parrots and honey eaters are attracted to the nectar. The image of the Silver Princess is of a cluster of three plants planted just over a metre apart and are approximately 4 years old. They will reach a height of 6m locally, but can vary depending on soil type, moist levels and climate.
